Quick answer

Use measurements rather than age wherever possible. Height works best for bats, wrist-to-fingertip for gloves, knee-to-instep for pads, head circumference for helmets, foot length for shoes and chest/waist for clothing.

Cricket bat sizing

Player height is the starting measurement. Use the bat size calculator or full bat size guide.

Batting and wicket-keeping gloves

Measure from the start of the wrist to the tip of the longest finger. Use the glove size calculator or glove guide.

Batting pads

Measure from the centre of the kneecap to the instep where the shoe tongue sits. Use the pad size calculator or pad guide.

Cricket helmets

Measure around the widest part of the head. Then check the exact model’s fit and safety certification. Use the helmet size calculator and NZ helmet guide.

Cricket shoes

Measure heel to longest toe while standing and use the larger foot. Use the shoe size converter or shoe guide.

Cricket clothing

Chest and waist measurements are more useful than age alone. Use the clothing size calculator as a starting point, then verify the exact garment chart.

Why brand charts can differ

There is no universal cricket-equipment sizing system. These tools use current published sizing ranges as a consistent reference, but brands and product lines can vary. Where possible, try the item or check the exact manufacturer’s chart before ordering.

Sizing note

Use these ranges as a starting point. Product-specific charts should take priority where they differ.
