Measure the foot, not just the old shoe
Stand with weight on the foot and measure heel to longest toe. Measure both feet and use the larger measurement. Allow for the socks you actually play in.
Spikes vs rubber cricket shoes
The right outsole depends on the surface, competition and conditions. Do not buy spikes simply because the shoe is marketed as more serious. For artificial surfaces, training and junior formats, rubber or multi-surface designs can be more appropriate.

Sizing note
Shoe lasts and fit vary by brand. Treat conversions as a starting point and check the exact model before ordering.
